Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and organised Stores & Laundry Assistant to join our team. This is a hands-on position responsible for managing the issue and control of production consumables, maintaining accurate stock records, and supporting the cleanliness and presentation of the site.
This role plays an important part in ensuring production teams have timely access to essential items such as overalls, gloves, PPE, cleaning products and other operational consumables while maintaining accurate inventory information. This role requires a good level of physical fitness and agility.
This is a seasonal position, usual hours of work 5am to 2pm.
The successful applicant will be responsible for:
- Issuing and tracking consumables
- Stock control and inventory accuracy
- Forklift operations and materials handling
- Assisting with purchasing and stock replenishment
- Housekeeping, janitorial and laundry Services
Qualifications
The successful applicant must:
- always put safety first
- be keen to learn new skills
- have intermediate computer skills
- enjoy working in a diverse team
- have Numeracy & Literacy skills to NCEA Level 2
